Modern Townhomes in Brownstone Brooklyn

Third + Bond is a modern interpretation of a traditional townhouse development located at the intersection of the Carroll Gardens and Gowanus neighborhoods in Brownstone Brooklyn. The 44-condominium property was designed to visually knit together the brick townhomes to its west with the industrial buildings to its east. Third + Bond was the first Platinum rated, LEED for Homes Mid-rise project in New York City. Special features include private outdoor spaces for 80% of the units, locally sourced facade materials, and energy recovery ventilators for tempering and filtering fresh air continuously.  Third + Bond has studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units. Over the course of five years, Hudson documented the development of Third + Bond in a weekly editorial on the pioneering Brooklyn real estate blog, Brownstoner.com, giving the public an inside look into the development process from acquisition to offering plans and every step in between. This project was awarded the 2012 Low-Rise Residential ‘Building Brooklyn’ Award by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce.
